FSCJ Textbook Return - Deadline approaching!




ALL books (including manuals, workbooks, etc) must be returned so make appropriate arrangements.  Holds will be placed on student records. Holds can be placed on transcripts and/or course registration.  Late rentals or returns will not be accepted and the student will be responsible for any financial obligations.


Specially designated Dual Enrollment textbook returns will take place at each Campus (North, South, Kent and Downtown) and Deerwood Center on the following dates:

  • May 8th, 9th, & 12th.  Students can return textbooks before these dates if it is more convenient.

  • Rentals can be returned early, but all Rentals MUST be returned no later than May 9.  Students should hold on to their rental return receipts.

Due to demand, there will be 2 special return opportunities at the Nassau Center on May 8th & May 12th from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. ONLY.  Rental returns can be processed at Nassau Center ONLY on May 8th.

To request reimbursement for purchased textbooks - bring a photo ID, receipt, and textbook to the Campus Business Office (Kent, Downtown, South and North) during Business Office hours on the dates specified above.  Reimbursements will be processed upon textbook surrender and pending no outstanding financial obligations to the college. Reimbursement checks will be mailed to students.

Purdue Alumni Club Scholarship



The Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Jacksonville is offering a $1000 scholarship to a local graduating senior who desires to attend Purdue University in the Fall of 2014.

Northeast Florida Medical Society Foundation (NEFMSF) Scholarships



2014 NEFMSF Scholarship Program

McIntosh Scholarship- awarded to a male student with high academic achievement and strong leadership skills
Atkins Scholarship- awarded to a student with high academic achievement and a strong community service background
Cornerstone Scholarships- awarded to students who have high academic achievement and represent the values and commitment of the NEFMSF.

Purpose
This scholarship fund was established in 2013 by the Northeast Florida Medical Society Foundation.  The purpose for the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to minority high school seniors in Jacksonville, Florida who have been accepted into an accredited college or university with the intention of majoring in an area of science or math.
Eligibility
The NEFMSF scholarship will be awarded to a minority student pursuing a degree in science or math.
All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
1.      Applicant must be at least a high school senior in Jacksonville, FL.
2.      Applicant must have a cumulative minimum grade point average of 3.5.
3.      Applicant must submit all required application information.
4.      Applicant must be nominated by his/her high school counselor.
Selection
The recipient will be chosen by the NEFMSF Scholarship Committee.  The Scholarship Committee will determine award recipients by May 26, 2014.
Awards
Scholarships in the amount of $5,000 will be awarded to each winner.  Award recipients will receive scholarships upon receipt of confirmation of college enrollment from registrar.
Application Information Procedure
Applicant must submit the following:
1.      Application form
2.      Two (2) letters of recommendation from either high school teachers, administrators, counselors, employers, or other individuals with significant knowledge of applicant’s experience, academic achievements, and/or community involvement.  Recommendations from family members will not be considered.
3.      An official and current high school transcript with cumulative grade point average and class standing/rank.
4.      Applicant must also complete at least 40 hours of community service.  School counselor must verify that documentation of community service ours was submitted to him/her.
5.      Proof of college acceptance
6.      Personal essay

Student Voice Scholarship


Student Voice Scholarship Applications are due to Ms. Morrison at Lee High School by 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014. Ms. Morrison will pull the transcripts of all the applicants, so there is no need to worry about that aspect!
