FSCJ Spring Semester Registration Information!

While you are working hard on your Fall term classes, it's time to plan your Spring semester courses! Students need to come by Lee High School to pick up registration paperwork, then attend registration at FSCJ as scheduled. Please, mark the following days and times on your calendar as appropriate for you.


SENIORS
Registration paperwork for Seniors is available at Lee on the following days
(pick one):
  • October 3rd from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
  • October 4th from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
  • October 10th from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
FSCJ Registration for Seniors -  October 15th 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
*Students must have paperwork from Lee for this event.*

JUNIORS
Registration paperwork for Juniors is available at Lee on the following days
(pick one):
  • October 8th from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
  • October 10th from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
  • October 10th from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
FSCJ Registration for Juniors -  October 23rd 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
*Students must have paperwork from Lee for this event.*

Homecoming Week Activities Schedule Posted!

Homecoming Week is Sept. 30-Oct. 4!

Monday, Sept. 30
  • Wacky-Tacky Dress up Day
  • Earn community service hours for volunteering to help clean up the campus. See Ms. Morrison after school to participate. 
Tuesday, Oct. 1
  • Think Pink! Wear your favorite pink outfit to show support for breast cancer research. 
  • Hallway decorating contest - Seniors, 3rd floor front hall; Juniors, 2nd floor, front hall.
Wednesday, Oct. 2
  • Dress up like your favorite senior citizen!
  • Teacher Door Decorating contest - contact your favorite Lee teachers to help decorate their doors. 
Thursday, Oct. 3
  • Show your nerd love day! Dress like your favorite nerd.
  • Homecoming banner competition - work with your clubs, sports, organizations to create banners for the stadium.
Friday, Oct. 4
  • Big Blue Nation! Wear your favorite blue and gray apparel!
  • Pep rally - invitation for off-campus students to be distributed next week. 
  • Varsity football game against Englewood at 7:00 p.m.
  • Homecoming Dance - immediately following the game in the gymnasium. Tickets on sale next week!

New Scholarship Program - Jack Kent Cooke Foundation

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation 

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is a new undergraduate scholarship program available to high-performing high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's best four-year colleges and universities. Selected from a nationwide pool of applicants, up to 40 students will become Jack Kent Cooke Scholars and have access to funding for up to four years for undergraduate studies.
Each award is intended to cover a significant share of the student’s educational expenses – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees. Awards vary by individual, based on the cost of tuition as well as other grants or scholarships he or she may receive.
This highly competitive scholarship includes:
  • Up to $30,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school
  • Ability to pursue any area of study
  • Personal advising about selecting a college and navigating financial aid
  • Multifaceted advising about how to transition to college and maximize the college student experience

ACT Waivers


  • Register and upload your photo at www.actstudent.org Do all parts of the application except the payment section. Save your registration!
  • Come to Lee High School on September 25 or September 26 between 12:30 and 2:00 to pick up your waiver and finish registering for the test.
  • Bring username/password for ACT registration.
  • Sign in at the front office as a visitor.
  • Go directly to College and Career room on the first floor, be prepared to log into computers to finish registration process.

OPEN CASTING CALL FOR DCPS-TV PROGRAMS




Duval County Public Schools Television (DCPS-TV) is looking for on-air hosts for the “REAL School” television show. This “News-Style” show will be produced once a month and will broadcast on WJCT, Comcast, and on our YouTube channel.
This audition is open to all Duval County Public School middle or high school students. We seek four (4) high school on-air hosts and three (3) middle school on-air hosts to be a part of our team. We typically record once a month from  3:30-5:00 p.m. after school for the high school hosts, and once a month after school for each middle school student (we can be flexible on dates/times).
We’re looking for students with personality, eagerness to learn and the ability to work with our deadlines. Requirements for these openings are that you remain in good academic and behavioral standing for the entire school year. Reliable transportation to the district building is required for all high school hosts.   DCPS-TV will travel to the middle schools for each segment.
