To honor Florida’s top senior male and female school
scholar/athletes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Student must be a senior.
- 3.0 unweighted GPA.
- Minimum of 1210 on SAT or 27 on ACT.
- A COPY OF OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT THROUGH FIRST SEMESTER OF SENIOR YEAR.
- Participated in varsity level athletics a minimum of two (2) years, one year in 12th grade.
- Information must be submitted on nomination and resume forms (see back of this sheet).
- Nomination forms must be signed by the Principal, Athletic Director, or FHSAA Representative.
NOMINATION
- Every Florida high school may nominate one male and one female.
- School Athletic Directors must submit applications to their FIAAA District Director by April 15, 2014.
- ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP OFFER: A student may also apply for the NIAAA $1,000 scholarship by writing two essays: The meaning of sportsmanship to me (cite one personal sportsmanship experience that made a positive impact on you, an opponent, your team, your school or your community (can be typed on the nomination form) and How high school athletics has impacted my life. Submit these two essays along with the official NIAAA nomination form found on the FIAAA.org or NIAAA.org website.
