As announced during during the April 28th Parent Night and in classes, the PERT Test for 9th grade students is scheduled for
May 26 - Reading test
May 27 - Writing test
May 28 - Math test
Students will take the assigned test during 1st/5th block and 2nd/6th block.
Students must be in their testing rooms by 7:30 a.m. each day.
Testing locations will be announced in English classes Friday, May 22.

- Students can mix-and-match scores from these three tests. In other words, if they do not earn scores on the PERT, they can use ACT or SAT scores to meet eligibility.
- Students must earn scores in Reading and Writing to move into ENC1101 and AMH2010/2020 courses.
- Students must earn scores in Reading, Writing, and Math to move into any math courses and/or to take more than 12-credit hours with FSCJ (three classes).
- 9th grade students must have scores on file by August 1 to take courses first semester next year.
- 9th grade students must have scores on file by January 15 to take courses second semester next year.
- Once a student gains a score in an area, the score sticks forever for Early College/dual enrollment placement.
- Make-up day/second round of testing will be provided in July. Details will be mailed home during the summer.
