Monique Burr Foundation - Speaking up for children

In 2008, more than 25,000 children were trained and empowered to protect themselves through the Good-Touch/Bad-Touch Program.® Through programs like “Monique’s Safety Net", an in-home case management program provided to high at-risk families referred by the University of Florida’s Child Protection Team, the cycle of abuse is stopped. The Foundation also supports other prevention and intervention programs offered through other nonprofit agencies that aid children and their families providing intervention in abusive situations and to ensure that the cycle of child abuse does not continue in the lives of those families. A new education program, Speak Up Be Safe, is being implemented in Duval County Public Schools this year. Click on the link above to find out more information about the Foundation and programs.
