Today's Announcements:
  • Student volunteers needed for #ReachHigher Heroes of Lee community service project! Volunteers need to be willing to fill out college applications, participate in discussions, and to take pictures of various activities. Contact Dr. Keefe for more information.

REL Generals #ReachHigher Presentations:
The following universities, colleges, and programs have reserved time to speak with REL Seniors, Early Grads, and Juniors. Click on the links provided to learn more about the program and to register:
Jacksonville Goes To College Week - a city-wide initiative to encourage students to explore post-secondary opportunities.
  • Friday:  “Future View Friday” –Students are encouraged to complete three virtual college tours they think are interesting. Write down questions to ask the representatives of these colleges when they go to the College Fair on Saturday, October 10, 2015.
  • Saturday:   NACAC College Fair – Prime Osborne Convention Center - 12-4. FREE college fair that is open to all middle and high school students in the northeast Florida area.  Over 200 colleges from across the nation will be in attendance.  In addition, workshops will be held for scholarship search information, Bright Futures, planning for college, and so much more!  Students who attend the fair and fill out the REL NACAC College Info sheet may be eligible for extra graduation tickets or prizes.

REL Calendar:
  • Oct 5-30 - 3rd Annual REL Food Drive (Saturday drop-off Oct. 10) - Student who brings in the most items wins a free prom ticket! See Ms. Thomas for more information.
  • Oct. 9th - Gates Millennium Scholars award Information Meeting at 11:00a. 
  • Oct. 9 - College Fair FSCJ South Campus 12-3p. Contact Ms. Akakatang for more information.
  • Oct. 9 - Volunteers need for John Stockton Elem. Fall Festival - Contact Georgia Miller, JSE PTA President, to for more information 
  • Oct 12 - Nov 4 - FSCJ Registration Information for students taking classes at FSCJ
  • Oct. 14 - Sophomores and (registered) Juniors take the PSAT at REL
  • Oct. 15 - REL Generals #ReachHigher Parent/Student Information Night 6:00p at REL
  • Oct. 17 - Marathon High practice starts after school. Application and physicals due. See Coaches (Sorrells, Padgett, Keefe, Sambol-Tosco, Smith, Neaher) for more information.
  • Nov. 2 - UF College of Pharmacy Open House - RSVP due
  • June 10 - Senior Commencement Ceremony (a.k.a. Graduation) 1:00p Jacksonville Veteran's Arena
