4th and 1 has provided SAT/ACT prep, professional development, creative workshops, and life skills classes to student-athletes at camp locations in East Texas, East Lansing and Jacksonville, Florida. 4th and 1's mission is to propel student-athletes through high school and college by providing them with individualized athletic, academic, and professional skills development. This summer, 4th and 1 will partner with the Jacksonville Jaguars to offer a camp at Jacksonville University (June 15-20, 2014). Thanks to the generosity of the Jaguars Foundation, the camp is free for all student-athletes who are accepted.
Application Criteria
4th and 1 is looking for 40 highly motivated student-athletes to represent the second class of 4th and 1-Jacksonville. Applicants should possess the following characteristics:
- Rising junior or senior student-athlete
- B-average (approximate GPA of 3.0)
- Member of an underrepresented group (examples include: low socioeconomic status, racial minority, single-parent household)
- Demonstrated desire to excel
