The Mayor’s Summer Jobs Initiative is a comprehensive program providing Jacksonville’s youth with real work experience – to acquire
increased understanding and knowledge of the work environment, employer
expectations and responsibility.
This eight or six-week program is designed to prepare youth with job readiness and soft skills training to compete economically. These can be full-time or part-time positions paying minimum wage.
