George W. Jenkins Scholarship - University of Miami - Due Dec. 1
The George W. Jenkins Scholarship is
funded through Publix Super Markets Charities.
This four year scholarship is awarded to students based on academic
merit, financial need, and an essay that demonstrates a history of overcoming
significant adversity. The scholarship
is valued at more than $62,000 for the 2015-2016 academic year. Scholarship Criteria:
- Residency: Open only to
U.S. citizens who are residents of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina,
and Tennessee, graduating from a high school within their homes state, and
enrolling full time at the University of Miami.
- Academics: Minimum GPA of 3.75 n a 4.0 scale and a well-rounded
college preparatory curriculum.
- Personal
History: Participation in school or
community activities, a strong work ethic, and
a history of overcoming significant adversity.
- Financial Need: High financial need, as determined through the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.
