Westside Business Leaders’ Association Scholarship - due April 1

The Westside Business Leader’s Association is offering a one year scholarship to a qualified student in each Westside high school for the amount of $1,000.  Eligibility criteria:

•  Attend a public OR private high schools on the west side of Jacksonville.
• Meet high school graduation requirements with a 2.0-3.0 unweighted GPA
• Enroll in a certificate or degree-seeking program at a public university, state college, community college, area vocational center, or accredited private postsecondary vocation, technical, trade or business school.
• Demonstrate financial need
• Demonstrate basic mastery of basic skills in reading, writing and computation as evidenced by an official high school transcript.
• Demonstrate vocational competency related to job preparatory program as evidenced by an official high school transcript.
• Submits a letter of recommendation from a principal, counselor, or teacher of his/her high school.
