ACT, SAT, PERT Information for 10th grade Early College Students

Students who are enrolled in the Early College program as 10th grade students must adhere to the following continuation criteria:
  • Maintain a cumulative, unweighted, high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Maintain an FSCJ GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Pass SLS1103 by the end of first semester 10th grade
  • Cannot earn more than one D, F, or W in FSCJ courses within one semester
  • Cannot retake an FSCJ course more than once
  • Earn 12 credit hours in FSCJ courses by the end of 10th grade (min. of three courses)
  • Earn college-ready scores in Reading, Writing, and Math by the deadlines listed below:
    • By December 1 of 10th grade
      • earn a Reading score of 106 on PERT, 24 on SAT, or 19 on ACT
      • earn a Writing score of 103 on PERT or 17 ACT English
    • By March 1 of 10th grade 
      • earn a Math score of 114 on PERT, 24 on SAT, or 19 on ACT
Students who are still working to earn college-ready scores should be registered for the ACT and SAT this semester. As announced last year and through the summer, students should NOT be waiting for another PERT administration at this point in the school year.
